Salam alaykoum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh,

I'm moving out of my current house at the end of this month inshallah, and the house will be up for rent. I just thought I would let you guys know, as the landlord is an excellent brother meashallah, and it's a very good house.

Its a 3 bedroom brick house, located off Box forest Rd in Hadfield (next door to Glenroy). Its a few minutes drive from Fawkner Mosque, has a primary school almost accross the road, and a high school a few streets away. Close to Broadmeadows shopping centre, and has 3 strips of shops within a minute from it.

The house is quite big mashallah, and consists of 3 large bedrooms, a large lounge room, neat kitchen with a good sized sitting area and strong stove/oven, seperate bathroom, toilet and laundry. It has ducted heating and cooling, as well as a wall mounted heater - all in excellent working condition, and has just had the insulation done. It has a good sized front yard, very big backyard, and long driveway with a gate. Big garage, as well as a shed, and a cubby house for the kids in the backyard. Also has a lemon tree which produces over 100 lemons at every picking!

The house is not new, but is very neat and clean mashallah, and has been well looked after. Has floorboards throughout the house.

The landlord is an excellent brother mashallah, very patient and very very helpful. The rent is reasonably priced.

We are simply moving out to be closer to family, otherwise we would be happy to stay.

The brother was originally considering private rental, but he has now decided to list it with an agent. I'll put up the agent's details as soon as I get them inshallah.

Also, since it's through an agent, I don't really know what price they're asking. I'll let you know as soon as I get details inshallah.

I have the details, except I forgot to post them, and Ive packed all my stuff already. It's going through Barry Plant in Glenroy, and Sam is the one to speak to. The house is in Larlac st Hadfield.

the price of renting is really shocking now. I looked in the local paper at prices and you can't get anything for less than $310 per week! I really hope our Landlord lets us stay for a while because our rent is cheap Alhumdulilah. I'm scared to think of the affordability of rent later on if we had to move.

yeah, $340 is too much..
I am looking for 3 bedrooms house, we currently pay $260/week.
the maximum we can afford is $300.

I am sick of the insects,ants and even spiders in my house..
well yes spiders..yesterday I was in shock, after the kids has gone 2 school, I went 2 my girls bedroom, started to tidy up the clothes,
got the vacuum cleaner, started 2 vacuum, then decided to let the sunshine enter the room..opened the curtain..

I saw a spider, HUUUUUUUGE 1

he was really huge, about 5cm long..fluffy lol and dark grey in color.

I looked at him, I was completely freezed..
after about 7 minutes, decided to use the vacuum cleaner which was on.
sub7an Allah, so scary, I think he was the poisonous one..

we lived in NZ for nearly 9 years, never seen spider there!

<-------still shocked!!

mashallah $260 per week? which suburb is that sis? fawkner/glenroy is pretty expensive and you're looking to pay over $300 for a 3brd house.

If people plan on staying in Australia in the medium to long term, then renting price rises will gradually push you out further and further from the City. Not sure if it's the best strategy.

Lalor is about 30 mins from the city, I have no plans in living nearing to the city simply because not just rent is more expensive but the cost of goods and services is more expensive. I was once doing shopping on Sydney road and just needed a bag of carrots from the fruit and veg store...I paid $2 for a bag of carrots that I always get for less than a dollar.

I just hope InshaAllah I can stay where I am for longer as our rent is cheap. I don't know if we could afford $300 + per week.
